It's hard to believe you've only been part of our family for four months, Macklin. It's been both the toughest and best four months of our lives. You wake up smiling every morning, gaze at us with huge blue/grey eyes and reward us with big gummy grins when we make funny noises in your face. You explore new things every day, and you teach us even more than you learn. You love your milk, grunt loudly during tummy time and toot with abandon. Monkeys and frogs are funny to you, the cats are invisible, and you talk to cars as they drive by during our morning commute. You're remarkably strong and can hold a rattle delicately in between your thumb and forefinger. You suck your hand with all the force and noise of a Hoover in a rainstorm. You are a precious gift and the very best part of our family.

Oh, what a loving birthday message to Baby Macklin. Someday when he can understand, I will tell him what a special mom and dad he has. He is so loved by everyone. He is indeed our little prince! We love you, Macklin, and can't wait to hold you in our arms!
