Macklin is getting a mind of his own. On the way home from school today:
Mommy: Macklin, what did you do at school today?
Macklin: (pause) Hm. I'll tell you when we get home.
A short commute home later, I prepared Macklin's favorite meal of chicken pot pie and tried again.
Mommy: So Macklin, now can you tell me what you did at school today?
Macklin, staring intently at his food: Hm. No, I don't want to talk about it right now.
