Happy sleeper

Our little guy continues to get better and better at sleeping. Lately he's been pushing his own bedtime back a bit, so last night he was ready for dinner at 7:15 pm and nursed until 7:45 pm. We're aiming for an 8 pm or earlier bedtime these days, and he wakes up once during the night to nurse and then sleeps until almost 7 am (usually.) This is much better than before, and we're thinking about how to remove the nighttime feeding. (All the books say he's nursing for comfort and habit at night now, not food.)

Mack also has added new noises to his repetoire - he's using consonants more, which is fun. But his newfound rolling and scooting skills are making diaper changes REALLY tough these days - yesterday morning it took 30 minutes to get him diapered and dressed for daycare because he kept rolling over and getting away from me! Slippery little bugger.

Also, we've transitioned to using only cloth diapers - we're using the FuzziBunz all-in-one cloth diapers. We started out with prefold diapers and covers, but they proved a bit beyond our skills - all that folding and wrapping the covers around him made diapering a pain in the tush, plus they leaked more often. These all-in-ones are great, easy to use, and soft as a kitten. The only downside to cloth diapering that I can tell so far is laundry day (which is every other day of course.) The smell emanating from the diaper pail is not for the weak of stomach, let me tell you.

Ah, what mothers do for their sons.

...but not just sons...oh, what we do for our children.

What, no pictures? I have been enjoying the jumping pictures. He is having a ball, I can tell.

Big kisses for a big boy!
